About the event

This workshop is an exploration of the paradox and mystery of language and truth. The paths toward enchantment are overgrown with paradoxes – truths that appear to contradict on paper, but are unquestionable on a level beyond language. Everything we learn and communicate is processed through the filter of language.

How can we begin to see reality beyond the illusion of these very words?  How can we use words to express that the truth that can be spoken isn't the eternal truth?

Dancing in the mystery of these paradoxes is key to an experience of enchantment and the ability to enchant others. Truths that tear down certainty and literalism to reveal the shadowed space of mystery waiting behind our conscious minds. Though frightening from the outside, when stepped into, this mystery unmasks itself as vibrant wonder and authentic living.

During this circle, will share personal stories, opinions, and revelations, and experience philosophical wonder and community connection through guided conversation.

Enchanted Ecology was started in 2023 by Henry Kramer to bring both philosophical rigor and deep embodiment to an enchanted, wondrous, and mythopoetic connection with ourselves and the more-than-human earth. Enchanted Ecology events are designed to help us shed our “Gorgon eyes” (that turn the world to stone) and recover a perceptual capacity for awe and an unselfconscious embrace of spontaneity and imagination – crucial at a time of spiritual and ecological alienation.
