Brigid is one of Ireland’s essential goddesses as well as their matron saint. Her magic is written into land and legacy is infused into the culture. And, because the power of Celtic belief extends far beyond the islands where it was born, we can tap into the hopeful, creative energy of Brigid too.
February 1st is the Celtic festival of Imbolc. This year, Ireland will make Brigid’s Day a national holiday for the first time. It’s a time to celebrate the figure associated with healing, poetry, birth, sovereignty, and so much more.
Join author and Irish studies scholar Marisa Goudy for an evening with Brigid. A coach for writers and for creative entrepreneurs, Marisa is the writer of The Sovereignty Knot: A Woman’s Way to Freedom, Power, Love, and Magic. She is also the host of the KnotWork Storytelling podcast and the founder of the Heroine’s Knot, an online creativity and spirituality community. Expect storytelling and invitations to explore your own relationship with Brigid and this special time of year. There will be creative prompts with opportunities to write or draw to find your own expression, as well as sacred, guided conversation.
