About the event
In this offering, we will unearth our own stories of personal disenchantment (when did the world lose its magic?) and weave a container for discovering and tending the still-remaining spark of wonder in each of us. How can we call forth the vibrant, meaning-rich world we knew as children? Is the disenchanted world truly the world “as it really is” or is it another mask, a deadening enchantment we are each complicit in? If so, how can we shed this mask and let the deep world burst through? This workshop includes group discussion, guided meditation, and embodied practice to reignite our inner spark.
Enchanted Ecology was started in 2023 by Henry Kramer to bring both philosophical rigor and deep embodiment to an enchanted, wondrous, and mythopoetic connection with ourselves and the more-than-human earth. Enchanted Ecology events are designed to help us shed our “Gorgon eyes” (that turn the world to stone) and recover a perceptual capacity for awe and an unselfconscious embrace of spontaneity and imagination – crucial at a time of spiritual and ecological alienation.
