About the event

During this day retreat at Moss and Moonlight's Sanctuary for Healing Arts, we will gather in celebration of the ancient festival of Beltane for ritual, community, creativity, and ancestral wisdom in honor of Springtime magic.

Beltane was first mentioned in Irish literature in the 9th century. The festival began on the 1st of May, a midway point from Spring to celebrate the coming of Summer. Beltane translates to “the fires of Bel," referring to the Celtic sun god, Belenus. These festivals were a celebration of the returning Sun and growth to come.

Together, we will embrace the wisdom of this seasonal threshold by connecting to creativity, each other, to nature, and our own inner light.

Space is intentionally limited to support genuine connection and personal attention.

Join us to sit in circle with like-hearted women and align with your inner self 🦋

Includes:

🔥 Opening Ceremony: Here we will begin our festivities, honoring our community and the ancient origins of Beltane. We will hold a guided group discussion to introduce ourselves and connect. We'll learn, sharing the wisdoms and lore behind what this special day of the Wheel of the Year traditionally symbolizes- such as fire, celebration, and rebirth.

🌿 Herbal Mocktail + Snack Break: Enjoy a seasonal herbal refreshment with magical properties.

💐 Flower Crown Crafting: We’ll create our own flower crowns using both blooms and greenery. As you weave your crown, you’ll be invited to infuse it with intention and the blossoming energy of this time.

🧚‍♀️ Fae Storytelling + Beltane Lore The fae- nature spirits, guardians of the land, and tricksters- are said to be especially active during this time. You’ll be invited to connect with them, your own wonder, and intuition.

🔔 Sound Bath + Meditation Be guided through a mystical Beltane meditation journey through visualization and release, promoting renewal and connection to the magic within yourself and the season... ✨

There will be an inclement weather date of the following day, Sunday May 3rd, as the event will be partially outdoors.
